Ingredients
- 6 ounces strong coffee (or two shots espresso)
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1–3 tablespoons heavy cream (or half & half)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- Pour the hot coffee into a large mug and stir in the cocoa mixture until fully dissolved and smooth.
- Add heavy cream or half & half to taste, stir, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust cayenne pepper to control the level of heat.
- Use espresso for a stronger, richer flavor.
- Make a larger batch of the dry mix and store in an airtight container for quick preparation.
- Can substitute dairy-free cream alternatives if preferred.
