Description
A refreshing blend of green tea and sweet peach puree, perfect for cooling down on a warm day. This simple, homemade peach green tea is easy to make and can be served chilled for a fruity, refreshing beverage.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1 large peach, peeled and chopped
- 3 green tea bags
Instructions
- Put the peeled and chopped peach in a blender with 1/2 cup water and puree until smooth.
- In a saucepan, combine the peach puree with the remaining water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the green tea bags. Let steep for 3–5 minutes.
- If desired, strain the green tea through a sieve into a pitcher to remove any peach flecks.
- Stir in honey and adjust sweetness to taste.
- Chill the tea in the refrigerator before serving. Serve over ice and garnish with peach slices and fresh mint sprigs.
Notes
- You can use white or black tea bags instead of green tea if preferred.
- If you prefer a sweeter tea, adjust the amount of honey or substitute with another sweetener.
- For a stronger peach flavor, use two peaches instead of one.
- This tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
