Description

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 small head green cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the shredded cabbage, salt, and pepper, and toss to combine.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10–15 minutes until the cabbage is tender and lightly browned.
- Stir in the apple cider vinegar and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute red cabbage for a slightly sweeter taste.
- Add cooked bacon or sausage for a non-vegetarian variation.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
