Ingredients
- 4 pounds country style ribs
- 1–2 tablespoons rib rub
- Optional: barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Place the country style ribs on a plate and season generously on all sides with the rib rub. Let the ribs rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Transfer the ribs to the bottom of a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours until tender.
- Serve the ribs as is, or continue with the next step for sauced ribs.
- Preheat the oven broiler to high. Arrange the cooked ribs on a sheet pan and brush generously with barbecue sauce.
- Broil the ribs for 2-4 minutes, watching closely to prevent the sauce from burning.
- Remove from the oven and serve hot with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
- Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the ribs and your slow cooker.
- Use your favorite homemade or store-bought rib rub and barbecue sauce.
- For extra flavor, sear the ribs before adding them to the slow cooker.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
