Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into equal rectangles or squares.
  3. Place pastry pieces on the prepared baking sheet and lightly score a border around each piece without cutting through.
  4. Brush edges with beaten egg.
  5. In a bowl, toss strawberries with sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.
  6. Spoon the strawberry mixture into the center of each pastry.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until pastry is golden and puffed.
