Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml milk
  • 80 g butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring until just incorporated.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour in the batter.
  6. Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp.
  7. Serve immediately with toppings of your choice.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the waffles light and fluffy.
  • Serve with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or powdered sugar.
  • Leftover waffles can be stored in the fridge and reheated in a toaster.
  • You can substitute milk with plant-based milk if preferred.
