Description

Yalanci manti is a comforting Turkish-style pasta dish featuring tender noodles coated in garlicky yogurt and topped with a rich spiced butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (such as shells or orecchiette)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until tender. Reserve a small amount of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a bowl, mix the yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add paprika and red pepper flakes, stirring until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  4. Toss the warm pasta with a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen, then gently fold in the garlic yogurt until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish and drizzle the spiced butter sauce over the top.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
