Description
A rich and creamy Greek mosaic dessert infused with the distinct flavor of Aegina pistachios, perfect for a chilled sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 200 g digestive biscuits
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sweetened condensed milk
- 100 g pistachios, shelled and chopped
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Break the digestive biscuits into small pieces and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth and combined.
- Remove from heat and fold in the biscuit pieces and chopped pistachios.
- Place the mixture onto parchment paper and shape it into a log.
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours until firm.
- Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
- You can substitute pistachios with almonds or hazelnuts.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- For a firmer texture, freeze for 1 hour before slicing.
- Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate before serving.
