Description

A rich and creamy Greek mosaic dessert infused with the distinct flavor of Aegina pistachios, perfect for a chilled sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 200 g digestive biscuits
  • 150 g butter
  • 200 g sweetened condensed milk
  • 100 g pistachios, shelled and chopped
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Break the digestive biscuits into small pieces and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add the condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth and combined.
  4. Remove from heat and fold in the biscuit pieces and chopped pistachios.
  5. Place the mixture onto parchment paper and shape it into a log.
  6. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours until firm.
  7. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • You can substitute pistachios with almonds or hazelnuts.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • For a firmer texture, freeze for 1 hour before slicing.
  • Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate before serving.
